The tropical architectural design of the 1,557 sf two bedrooms and two bath beach front home is inspired by its setting and the respect to the environment. The feeling of openness and spaciousness is created by integrating high ceilings and large openings that bring the outdoors in and fills the home with natural light and cross ventilation. The home's tropical warm relaxed feeling is enhanced by the integration of wood ceilings, handrails and recycled wood that have been carefully detailed and built into the concrete structure to avoid corrosion. Raised floor reduces the impact on the site and combined with the high ceilings, thermally insulated roof, thermal insulated doors and windows, and cross ventilation provide the home with total thermal comfort.
